Keep running Oracle GRC

Oracle GRC limited support

What you need to do internally to keep using Oracle GRC with limited support

What you need to know to keep running Oracle GRC

With Oracle GRC on limited support, if you run/own Oracle GRC you really need to watch this 45-minute session that covers what you need to know about keeping the GRC software.

You should attend this session if you run Oracle EBS and Oracle GRC.  We know you need to make some important decisions in the next few months about how you are going to satisfy GRC requirements with regards to what you are doing in the market, what Oracle is doing with E-Business Suite and how you are going to run your business going forward.

We will provide the references to the Oracle documents that have the detailed information about support and help you understand what this really means.

The panel will also share a RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) Matrix of the GRC duties that customers will need to will to support internally when development terminates product updates (License issues, GRC tasks, infrastructure management, accounting and auditor tasks.) You will clearly see the duties corporate management, the finance/ accounting department, CIO, internal and external audit will have to take into account)

Join  Appssurance  Brian O'Neil, former SmartDog President Scott Elequin and SafePaaS CEO Adil Khan as they explain in meticulous detail how your organisation can keep running Oracle GRC.

Find out how you really can keep Oracle GRC

Show me the RACI Matrix of GRC duties that need to be supported internally when development terminates updates.

In this session, the panel will cover:

The current state of support for Oracle GRC. As Oracle GRC remains and stays on sustaining support what exactly do you get, what will Oracle do, what will Oracle no longer do and what are the things that you will need to do yourself.

We will talk about future things you can do to meet your GRC requirements. We explore 3 options but will concentrate on the first option which is what you really need to do to continue running GRC within Oracle E-Business Suite. The panel will talk about the responsibilities for GRC duties within the organisation and share a RACI matrix of GRC duties that will needed to be supported internally when development ceases product updates. We want to make it clear that the GRC responsibilities will not go away but they will be transferred to outside of the software. We will provide a check list that outlines specific processes and activities.

At the end of the session the panel will briefly discuss how you can make a long-term roadmap strategy for GRC in order to plan for the future based on the applications you run in your organisation.

Oracle has committed to sustaining support for the GRC modules (AACG, CCG, PCG, TCG) until May 2025. The panel will discuss what you really get for sustaining support and which releases of the product you need to be on to receive sustaining support. We will show you what support includes and the limitations of support offered and will also explain what sustaining support does not include.

The GRC software you purchased included Application, Configuration, Preventative and Transaction as well as policy enforcement. Overtime Oracle has systematically stopped the new development of these applications and they were never updated. If controls weren’t baked into the upgrades release then it no longer became available.

Your 3 options:

You can continue to use Oracle GRC Advanced Controls (which this session explores)

Move to Oracle Risk Management Cloud – this option only works if you move your business to ERP Cloud (does not work on EBS) and only supports ERP Cloud.

Leverage a 3rd party controls application for GRC + requirements such as SafePaaS which is a complete controls platform that goes way beyond Oracle GRC.

The panel will discuss the main considerations including licensing, how limited support impacts requirements for external entities such as external auditors, requirements under regulatory guidelines such as Sarbanes Oxley and changes in your Oracle EBS software. The panel will discuss GRC Infrastructure Management, impact on audit and accounting duties.

This session has proved to be a valuable resource for all Oracle GRC customers as they embark on their GRC roadmap journey.
